I was so excited today to get the phone call that my wall portrait was ready from the framers. I didn’t wait a minute to go pick it up. I got to thinking, sometimes it’s hard to visualize what size we should consider when ordering portraits. How will I display them? What kind of style do I like? Whether you like to group a lot of smaller photos in your wall gallery or a couple of big ones, the choices are endless. I have to admit, I have single 8x10s on my wall from when my girls were younger and they are a bit lonely up there. But put a bunch together on a small wall or mix them up with a wall portrait on a larger wall space, you will be in awe of what you can create! The compliments will be sure to come your way and people will be admiring your sense of style in no time! What better art to display then your own beautiful family. 🙂
The following image is an example from one of my recent newborn sessions. Not all of us have a fireplace, but we all have walls and you can get an idea of how a few portraits grouped together make a beautiful display!
Sizes displayed are a 24×30 , a 10×15 and a 12×15 canvas, gallery wrap or standout mounted portraits. Now go look at your walls and start planning out your own gallery, it’s lots of fun!
