Fall 2011 HS Senior Girl “What To Wear” HAVE FUN!

Suggested styles may be found at Old Navy and Wet Seal

My PSA to end this post… Please be sure to seek out a professional photographer/studio for your Senior portrait experience. A Professional will know how to get the most from your Senior’s session. They will have the professional equipment and most important, the knowledge and training to use it. Professional Photographers will know how to deal with many lighting situations. They will know how to professionally edit & retouch when necessary. Many hours of training and investment have gone into professional software. They use only professional labs and they are calibrated to their labs color requirements. Do they have a website or blogsite? Look at their portfolio for consistency in their images. Blurry, soft images with obvious color and lighting issues are probably a good indicator a “photographer” needs more training and skills. They may use lingo, like “photo shoot” but a “pic” is not a replacement for a professional portrait.
Summer is in full swing and 2012 Seniors should be thinking about Senior Portraits. I know how fast this time can go by, now is the time to book those sessions! Even if it’s a late summer or fall session you prefer. I often get asked what one should wear, so I like to put together suggestion guides. These can help when deciding what to bring. My full Senior Portrait sessions are designed so that you can bring as many clothing options as you like and we can fit into your time. Right now for a limited time…Senior Portrait sessions are $50! This includes 60-90 minute session in studio and outside around my beautiful area. Also, with any portrait purchase of $299 or more, receive a gift of a 4×6 spiral bound brag book with all your gallery images. ($200 value). Book now, sessions are limited! 603.638.3014

Since I will be photographing Seniors, particularly Senior girls each week this month, I thought it was time for a new What To Wear Senior Girl Style. These styles are affordably available almost anywhere. It’s fun to mix up a little more dressy with a little casual. With my Senior sessions, clothing options are unlimited. You can choose 2 outfits or 5. It’s your session, your style. Have fun with it!

It’s what to wear Wednesday! Upcoming Seniors will be planning their photo sessions soon and it can be a little bit of a challenge to know how to put together things that work with your type of session. I have no limits on how many clothing changes you can have with your Senior session, so feel free to mix it up as much as you want. It’s your time and it’s important to me you get the most out it. Today’s what to wear for Senior Girls was actually designed by Kelsey Anderson, an awesome photographer from Las Vegas. She was kind enough to share. Thanks Kelsey! I have a few more spots available for my rep program so be sure to email me for an application. You can find more information on my program at the top of the page. You won’t want to miss this opportunity!

Spring is coming to Around The Bend! Here are some great suggestions on how to get your family coordinated for your portrait session.

Spring is right around the corner here and the sun has been shining all week. I love the color palett I have been seeing while out and about. In fact I love it so much blue/yellow is going to be the theme of my girl’s own spring portraits. I was lucky enough to find two beautiful just like new floral dresses at a second hand shop, just what I was looking for and a solid blue dress I picked up new for under $20. I even surprised myself when I put them all together and the blues were a perfect match. Love when that happens.
My studio floor is finished, studio samples are on their way and now we are painting. I am hoping it will completely finished early next week!

My Sunday, March 14th Easter Mini-Sessions are all booked. I do have a second session day Tuesday, March 16th for those still wanting to take advantage of this awesome opportunity. You can find more info here!
A special What To Wear Wednesday, Easter addition. I put together some examples of more traditional colors and looks of how to coordinate for your photographs. These can work for Spring and Summer. Look for more ways to get the most of your sessions with special Senior & Family additions of What To Wear.

Coordinating outfits for a family or sibling session can sometimes be challenging. Once done, it can give your portraits a certain wow factor. Each month I will share with you some pulled together looks for the entire family.
Here is an example:
My pricing and product information will be finished in the next few weeks. I will be posting examples on my site. Once your session is booked you will receive a full information and pricing packet. I am excited for Spring sessions to begin in May and will be offering my portfolio building special for a limited amount of sessions.

This would be almost perfect for Florida…..but so perfect for you and your clients!! I may have to come up with a client-inspired what to wear for photo shoots in Florida! We don’t have seasons so to speak……just sort of winter to summer and vice versa with a few cherished spring and fall days inbetween (but not enough).
What a beautiful combination – no jeans for us here in Florida in the summer though!
