I am loving all the beautiful colors available for Fall dressing this year. Purples, Burgundy and Grey seem to be every where. Almost anywhere you shop or in your very own closet, I am sure you will be able to find coordinating your family will be easier then you thought. It’s all about staying within the same color tones and complimenting hues. I will have a few more ideas coming your way next week! Don’t forget, I still have a few spots left for my Fall Family portrait special later in the week of October 3rd, and afternoons are the perfect time for gorgeous lighting of all the seasonal colors. sam@aroundthebendphotography.com
Here is an example for dressing your family for your Fall Portraits.. styles available at; Old Navy, Gap, Gap Kids and PiperLime

The trees which line my drive-way remind me that Fall is knocking on our door. It still may be August, but everything is quickly changing. I only offer this special once a year and the weekend dates are quickly filling up. I have some weekday afternoon and mornings to accomodate as many people and schedules as I can. These are the perfect opportunity to update your family portrait or capture your children another year older. Portraits always make the perfect gifts for the Holidays. Whether a classic framed portrait or an amazing, custom storyboard. Don’t miss out!

**Holiday cards are two-sided flat, custom designed and come with envelopes. You will have a choice of 3-5 designs in your private gallery to choose from. Up to (2) design changes will be included. If you are an individual or family who does not wish to have Holiday cards, you may choose two additional gift prints** A complete pricing guide for additional portrait prints, wall portraits, exclusive Fall special products and business policies will be given at session time. If you wish to have these prior, please inquire.
My Fall specials are perfect for families who haven’t a lot of time, sibling portraits or couples. Because of time limitations I am not able to accomodate larger families (more then 6 people) or newborns. Please inquire about regular scheduling. sam@aroundthebendphotography.com
The R Family traveled from the Lamoille Country area of Vermont for me to photograph their beautiful daughter. Their session was a Christmas gift from a friend, one of the best gifts someone can give. Thank you!

20×20 Storyboard. Storyboards can be beautiful work of art on children’s bedroom walls. For example, images done in black and white, the complimentary colors in the designs can coordinate with their room. Add a custom frame from The Organic Bloom and you’ve definitely made an amazing statement that will never go out of style.

It’s that time of year again! School is right around the corner and so are the Holidays. Perfect time to plan ahead for Portraits. Maybe you have a new family and you need your first portrait together. Need to update your family portraits because it’s been way too long. The one on your wall is when Susie was a toddler and now she is a freshman in highschool? Yup, certainly no better time! We often put them off because maybe we want to lose 10 more lbs (*raises hand*) or think there has to be a special occasion to attend to get everyone dressed up, then uncle Harry can snap a few.
Time flies by in an instant and the only way to freeze it and cherish it is through a beautiful, timeless portrait on our wall. My specials include a nice discount on large Wall Portraits and complete them with a traditional or not-so-traditional custom frame will be the icing on the cake, as they say. I dislike getting “preachy” but, seriously consider professional portraits an investment in art. There isn’t any art more beautiful then your family.
These sessions take place at my studio and grounds in Monroe, NH. Rain dates will be availble to those who book outside portraits. I will be posting a special “What To Wear” fall family style idea collage here next week.

Dylan traveled from a few towns south of Littleton, NH to see me. He originally went to school at Hazen Union in Hardwick, VT. I was thrilled when his Mom called to ask me to photograph his Senior Portraits. He aspires to work in the Law Inforcement field and plans on attending Champlain College in Burlington, VT when he graduates. He is an athlete and practices martial arts. I won’t try and spell the exact art, but it’s impressive.
He is a bit shy, but we had a fantastic session. When his Mom came to view his photos, it was confirmed. Thanks Dylan, thank you Robin..enjoy!

Seniors… Save 40% off your session if you book now! Yearbook Deadlines are coming soon and hectic school life will soon be upon you. sam@aroundthebendphotography.com
I Heart Faces challenge this week is “Beautiful Eyes”. I have always thought the moment my girls were born, what big, beautiful eyes they have. All 3 have different eye color, Blue/Grey, Hazel/Blue and Hazel/Brown. Each different, just like their personalities. Please visit I Heart Faces to see all the entrants this week.. lots and lots!!!!
My youngest… candid moment at the right time.

I orderd my first iPhone case a month or so after getting my iPhone. I always get asked about it and love that my case sets me and my phone apart from everyone else. I disliked the covers I would see in the mall or the phone stores. So generic and not really…me. I am now offering custom iphone hard case designs to all my clients, they will be complimentary for all portrait orders of $299 or more. You choose the photo(s) and I will customize the design for each individual client. Around The Bend Photograhy is a full service boutique studio and is proud to offer custom products.

Kyle was my first Senior of the season. His Mom contacted me months ago, excited about his session. Kyle goes to the Green Mountain Technical Center. He is involed in the forestry program and all around lover of anything outdoors. He helps his Dad in the woods and as the youngest in his family, I am sure it will be bittersweet for his Mom to let him go in a few months. We had a great session, his easy going attitude and relaxed style made our time go by quickly. Thank you Kyle and thank you Della for choosing me as the photographer to capture these once-in-a-lifetime portraits.

August Sessions are taken but September is a great month to get those portraits done! Weekends are super limited, so please schedule early! Schedule by August 22nd and take 40% off your session fee. Studio, outside or combination of both is available. Also, any portrait order of $299 or more will receive all gallery proofs in a 4×6 spiral bound brag book. My clients love them! I was so excited to see the Fedex man today. He was probably excited my dog didn’t jump in his truck (story for another day) lol. He deliverd my first order of Custom Frames from The Organic Bloom. I am so very pleased and genuinely excited to offer this product to my clients. I am proud to hang it in my own home. The quality is fantastic, you can choose any color you can think of and they will even do their best to customize a color upon request at no extra charge. I already have new portraits on order for my studio and will be pairing them up with this awesome product. Make sure you visit their site here and take a look around. I hope you love it as much as I do. Enjoy!
The Ricky Frame:

The Meg Frame:

It’s been a couple of months since I did a more personal post. I took my troop to a local fair/carnival. It was a sweltering day and barely a person to be found, it would seem as though we had the place to ourselves. No lines, no waiting…pretty perfect! Well, except the rides do freak me out a tad, old and worn. I guess the norm for most small town fairs. My oldest disappointed in not being able to ride to “adult” rides as she isn’t big enough and even my youngest had a complaint about it too. Keeping three personalities happy in one outing is a challenge, but everyone was happy to end the day with cotton candy and sticky fingers..lol. Enjoy!
They were the only children on the ride and they still chose to ride in the same car…love it. I actually had tears.

I will always remember those sunglasses my oldest is wearing, she and her sister bought the same pair for .99 and never took them off the whole shopping trip. I truly hope they remain that close always.

This is a gorgeous “What to Wear” Sammi! Wish we could dress like this in Florida in the fall. No such luck.
